Frequently Asked Questions:

No beating around the bush.
No fine print.
If there’s a question, there’s an answer.

Yes. And you can literally see it. Most so-called “cassava” litters use extracted cassava starch, not the root itself. The starch is a processed derivative: the root is grated and washed, the starch is separated, and the remainder is used for other purposes. The final product is a litter with a uniform, almost artificial texture.
Yucaloo uses the whole cassava root. That’s why you see specks of peel, fibers, and an irregular texture. That isn’t an imperfection— it’s proof. If real cassava was used, you can see it in the product.

We ran a real-world test: 30 days, 1 cat, 50ml of urine per day. The result: 3.0 kg of Yucaloo consumed versus 4.3 kg of corn and cassava litter over the same period.

Yucaloo lasted significantly longer. This means that, within two months, a user of corn and cassava litter has already spent the equivalent of nearly an extra bag. Do the math based on the price you pay today; Yucaloo likely works out cheaper per month of use.

Our package contains 4.5 kg, whereas most products in the same category offer 4 kg. You start off with more right from the get-go.

This is one of the questions we love answering most. Cats spend a good part of the day in their litter box—digging, stepping, and sniffing. Their paws are sensitive, so what touches them matters.

Yucaloo litter is made from raw cassava root: no dyes, no synthetic fragrances, and no artificial clumping chemicals.

Cats are constantly licking their paws. That is precisely why the origin of the litter can't be an afterthought.

With Yucaloo, there are no risks; if ingested, it is simply cassava — the actual root. Nothing else.

Yes, with an important caveat regarding which variant to use. The Mixed Grain formula was developed with two grain sizes specifically to reduce tracking and perform well in enclosed and automatic litter boxes.

The Small Grain formula also works—offering even firmer clumping — so the clump comes out intact without crumbling inside the mechanism. If you use an automatic litter box, start with the Mixed Grain version.

Cats hate change, but a gradual transition almost always works. We recommend this method: place a layer of Yucaloo in the clean litter box and put the current litter on top. Let your cat mix the two naturally as they use the box. With each change, increase the proportion of Yucaloo until it has completely replaced the old litter.

On average, cats accept it after five days. Some accept it as early as the first day, especially since the litter has no artificial fragrance — a common cause of rejection.

Because 4 kg is the category standard. And Yucaloo wasn't created to follow category standards.

When we calculated a cat's actual monthly usage of our litter, we determined that 4.5 kg was the right amount to comfortably cover a full month (lasting up to 45 days).

Packing 4 kg would mean cutting corners on quantity at the expense of the customer experience. We prefer it to last longer.

Yes. The litter itself is 100% organic and decomposes naturally, as it is made from cassava root. The packaging is, too: we use P-Life technology, which allows the plastic to degrade within 3 to 4 years without leaving behind microplastics.

For disposal of used litter: use regular household trash. Using a suitable scoop, remove only the soiled portions during daily cleaning.

Do not flush it down the toilet.
